About three weeks ago, one of our clients since 2020, reached out and said, “Funmi, I want to sell all my machines”. She probably saw how we were selling many preloved machines 🙈
What?!!! Why? How about all the babies whose mums depend on you for their nutrition?
“I’m tired. My family needs me too”.
She then went on to tell me the issues she had been having with her one of her major machines. We had not been aware of it and then sent in an engineer who fixed the machine.
Two weeks later, she called me about the same machine. “Again”? Was my response. I then reached out to the engineer who also responded in the same way. “Again”??
Fam, guess what? When the engineer got there last Sunday, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the machine. The technician she had been using had been fleecing her. This time he had separated the cables and even asked the customer’s staff to lie to her that smoke was seen coming out of the machine.
You don’t want to know how much he had been charging her every time. No wonder she was ready to quit.
These are one of the reasons we really need to have a professional technical school where food manufacturers can have access to good technical engineers.
God help us as a people. May we have the right people on our team. It is a blessing that is often underestimated.
